Çevresel Etkileri Bakımından Bazı Mineral Beton Katkı Maddelerinin Ga, Ag ve B İçeriklerinin Değerlendirilmesi

Son yüzyılda dünya genelinde nüfus artışı ve nüfusun kentsel alanlarda yoğunlaşması, kentsel alanlarda yeni binaların yapılmasını zorunlu kılmıştır. Bu binalar büyük oranda betonarme binalar olup, temel yapıtaşını beton oluşturmaktadır. Beton ise çeşitli katkı maddelerinin bileşiminden oluşmaktadır. Günümüzde betonun yoğun kullanımından dolayı beton katkı maddeleri konusunda çok sayıda çalışma yapılmaktadır. Ancak, bu katkı maddelerinin kimyasal içerikleri konusunda yapılmış çalışma sayısı oldukça sınırlıdır. Bu katkı maddelerinin kimyasal içerikleri konusunda önemli bilgi eksikliği bulunmaktadır ve bu durum sektörde çalışan insanların sağlığı yanında inşaat faaliyetlerinin çevresel etkileri konusunda da bilgi eksikliği oluşmasına sebep olmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada, beton katkı maddesi olarak kullanılan bazı malzemelerde, insan ve çevre sağlığı açısından son derece zararlı olan ağır metallerden Ga, Ag ve B konsantrasyonları değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları özellikle bazı çimentolar ile yüksek fırın cürufu ve bakır cürufu gibi bazı katkı maddelerinde çalışmaya konu ağır metallerden Ga konsantrasyonunun 236,139 ppm’e, Ag konsantrasyonunun 7401,9 ppb’ye ve B konsatrasyonunun da 1390,689 ppm’e kadar çıkabildiği belirlenmiştir. Bu durum, sektörde çalışan kişiler ile çevre sağlığı açısından büyük risk teşkil edebilir.
